WE’RE BACK AT IT WITH A CLASSIC THEME AND A CLASSIC FORMAT! We had zero time in June to record anything for this year’s “Movies Are Gay” theme so by popular demand we’ve decided to expand Pride Month into July as well. We took a poll and it came back 100%. It’s finally time for MOVIES ARE GAY 4: GAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU and we’re keeping it quite modern this year as much of what we’re discussing is very recent AND we will spread out our session across multiple days which means we’re back to old per-episode “Moviehumpers” style format. (Trilogists will be an exception) This will spread out the content and keep us consistent. Honestly, it should have been like this the whole time but we gotta experiment, ok? That’s what “MOVIES ARE GAY” is all about! Our first and oldest movie discussion will be Derek Jarman’s 1986 film “Caravaggio”. An artful biopic about a pansexual baroque painter who loved knives and was pretty good with them too. Our first Derek Jarman film discussion since “Jubilee”. It’s gay. It’s bloody. Hear us tell it.
