CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that gained widespread notoriety through Nigerian-American neuropathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu and his work in studying the disease in diseased pro football players. CTE carries a range of troubling symptoms which include deteriorations in mood/behavior, cognitive function, motor function, and even sleep.
