TSOT163: Governor: City - You Have No Right to Decide Whether to DIRECTLY SUPPORT ANOTHER COUNTRY With Your Taxpayer's Money! A Tale Involving the Usual Suspects

If there is anything about which individuals should be expected to disagree, it is about which side of a foreign war to support, and particularly whether to support either side directly with your own money. After all, wars mean aggression and death. A naturally organic thing to have an opinion on. And yet, in the Bizarro World that we live in in 2026, a governor purporting to be from the party allegedly about free markets and government being less centralized threatens a local city when it just discovers what its tax dollars are supporting - no less than war bonds for another country - and is considering getting out of the business of being a city that directly supports foreign powers and war. ====================================================== TWO PARTS TO THIS EPISODE: 1. The general idea - it is true (this is less researched, but still I believe well established. See description and links below.  2. The threat letter from a Republican Governor (Abbott, from Texas) saying that for the city of San Marcos to have an opinion on what they should invest in (at least when it is THIS topic) is a violation of the law and that he will take away state grants from them. Then the web search engine AI conversations to prove the different aspects of why there really is NO reason these WiFis, Wifis... should be hidden everywhere.
