The Girls Who Code organization is doing an awesome campaign during this quarantine. They are releasing an at-home activity for kids to do every week! Each activity features a women in tech and talks about how they have made an impact on the world through technology. Magic 8-ball - Sphero Robot 🎱

Did you know you can make your Sphero into a Magic 8-ball? Grab nearly any Sphero robot, run the program, and shake the robot. This program uses the accelerometer threshold to call a condition that will generate a random number from 1-20, which correlates to random answers just like a Magic 8-Ball. In this video we utilize a couple fundamentals of computer programming including “loops” and “if” statements. Find the area of a circle with a Sphero robot 🤖

Use Sphero’s location data to calculate the area of circle! In this video we will go over a simple coding program that tells the Sphero to drive around in a circle. After that, we can use the sensors in the Sphero to calculate what the total area is.
