Legacy fans, we are back with our last "special episode" before the team is finally back in action on Sunday. Obviously, we at the Swan Dive are supporters of women's sports so this episode takes a little look into the landscape of women's sports with some special guests. Our first guest Greg talked with Andy about the Boston Dream organization and how it not only interfaces with the Boston Legacy, but touched on a lot of the great things they are doing to promote leadership, development, education and opportunities to young women and girls in New England soccer community (that is just a brief summary of what Boston Dream does, listen to the episode and let Greg tell you about it himself). We then spoke with Amy (Courtney's "missed connection" from a few episodes ago), who is a Legacy season ticket holder as well as a former NCAA athlete and coach. Amy shared some of her thoughts and experiences with how the support of women's sports have changed over the years, both from the perspective of a player/coach and as a fan. We also discussed this how the landscape has changed in the NWSL itself over the years. We also discuss our latest player signing! Then, because it's finally a game week, we did a little preview of the Legacy's upcoming game against Bay FC and the predictions have returned! Here is a reminder of the standings and this week's predictions (please take the Bay prediction with a grain of salt, random number generator did them dirty). Episode 25: Midseason Recap and Ask Us Anything!

Welcome to the 25th episode of The Swan Dive! We are back after a bit of a break with a bit of a different episode this week. Since the league is on break, we don't have any games to review or preview, but did do some fun things this week. Before we got to all that, we had some exciting news to discuss! The Legacy announced the signing of USWNT and Gotham FC defender (and MA Native) Lilly Reale and a pretty lengthy contract extension as well. The Legacy was kind enough to announce that BEFORE we recorded for a change so we got to share some thoughts about that. As far as the fun stuff, Andy led us off some stats for the first part of the season with his season "by the numbers" segment. We then handed the show over to Liz to helps us decide on some mid season superlatives and moderate our "Ask Us Anything" segment with the questions that you, the listener, sent in. We know this was a bit of a long one this week but hope you enjoy this fun little episode; it was fun for us record. We will be back in two weeks for our last international break episode and preview of our first game back in July. Episode 24: KC Current Recap and What's Next

Well, I think a lot of folks would agree it went better than it could have, but we once again have to discuss another Legacy loss, this time to the Kansas City Current. First time guest Nicole joins us to recap and share thoughts on the 1-0 loss. No preview this week because the league is on international break for the month of June, but stay tuned to the end to hear what the Swan Dive will be up to over the break (spoiler alert: it involves asking you, the listener to ask us questions). Episode 23: Reign Recap/KC Current Preview

All good things must.come to an end. Don't worry, we arent talking about the podcast (you're stuck with us), but we are referring to the Legacy's unbeaten streak. It's been awhile since we have had to do one of these after a loss, but here we go. Andy and Courtney are joined by second time guest Brendan as they discuss the Legacy's 2-1 loss to Seattle Reign. We get into the good, the bad, the ugly (?) as well as talk a little about our first experience as Centrreville Bank Stadium (spoiler alert: yes, the pretzels were that. good). Then, we were joined by KC Blue Crew VP (and one of Courtney's longest NWSL buddies) Danielle to preview the upcoming match against the KC Current. Danielle gives a little history on the team, going back to the FCKC days, players to look out for (there are several) and gives a little insight in stadium vibes as a fan whose team is also playing in a smaller venue. Episode 22: Bay FC Review/Seattle Reign and Centreville Bank Stadium Preview

After a much needed rest after last week's crazy soccer and podcast schedule, we are back! This week, Andy and Courtney are joined by Boston Legacy and RIFC season ticket member Tyler to not only recap the Legacy game against Bay FC, but also share a little information about Centreville Bank Stadium; the Legacy's new home for the next handful of games. Tyler has some great information and advice on parking, game day vibes and (arguably) most important: concessions. We are also joined this week by Van and Coop from The Cooler Guild podcast to discuss all things Seattle Reign and preview the upcoming match. We had a great time chatting with them so make sure you check out their podcast; they give the info in the recording. Of course, we have to play the prediction game. Courtney was the only one who got points from the Bay FC game and she's closing the gap on our opposition (much to everyone's surprise probably).
