Graham Rahal on Podiums, Collisions, Mid-Ohio, Buckeyes & Blue Jackets

Graham Rahal and his arm of the Rahal Letterman Lanigan IndyCar team is on a resurgence this season headed into Sunday's Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. Indeed, were it not for Will Power hitting him from behind and knocking him off the track with 3 turns on last lap at Road America couple weeks ago, Rahal would have had his 4th podium finish of the season. He and Tim talk about that, but they also talk about two of the Columbus, Ohio, natives two other passions, Ohio State football and the Columbus Blue Jackets. In the midst of Rahal checks his cell to see the push notification the elite WR prospect Jett Harrison - younger brother of Marvin Harrison Jr. - has committed to the Buckeyes. Sadly Rahal sees no such notice that Zach Werenski has recommitted to the Jackets. The discussion is lively!

Bjork Talks Future ... of College Sports, the WHAC, Ohio Stadium, Etc.

It's a special THURSDAY episode of The Tim May Show feat. Clay Hall with Dillon Davis sitting in for Clay! No show on Friday. Ross Bjork, Ohio State athletic director, had a wide-ranging session with the media on Thursday. He touched on myriad items, including the pending legislation possibly coming out of U.S. Congress to "save" college athletics, and his thoughts on what he'd like to see in the bill, or not, as the head of what soon will be an athletic department with a $500 million operating budget that supports 36 sports. Dillon Davis DelGazette.com joins Tim to talk about much of what Bjork had to say, including the need for expansion of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center and the perennial improvements to 104-year-old Ohio Stadium. We could talk for hours, but we kept it to one.
