Darwin City defeated the ADF Navy Tridents 44-22 after a dominant first half and a decisive late surge, with Ikechi Mere scoring a hat-trick and Robbie Butcher influential across the whole game. The Tridents fought back in the second half, narrowing the gap to six before a crucial penalty and Darwin’s late tries sealed the win.   Earlier, the Southern Heat beat Darwin City 14-10 in an NRLW combine selection match, with Courtney Tamati named player of the match.
