I think a lot of what social media says about body acceptance isn't truth its not about standing in the mirror saying you love your body when you don't. I cleared up all the misconceptions about body acceptance and went through what it actually means to have it? Can you have it whilst also wanting to change your body at the same time? If youve ever had people comment on your food choices, your body or your life in general and always felt like you could never speak up for yourself. We are diving deep into all of that how this comes back to childhood, being a ‘good girl’, people pleasing & abandoning ourselves. How all of these then lead us to using food to cope with uncomfortable emotions and not expressing ourselves authentically. I loved this episode because all of these things I have struggled with and now understand how these massively impacted the relationship I had with food but also with myself. We say to ourselves if I just "look" this way I wouldn't be speaking to myself like this etc but the thing about insecurities is when you 'fix' one it just goes to another place. The real change happens when you address how you speak to yourself, the beliefs you have about your body, your self worth and how you treat yourself. I used to feel completely out of control around food until I rebuilt self-trust

hey guys Back with an episode all around not feeling in control around food. Which is a statement i used to say a lot to myself & one i hear a lot from new clients who work with me. Firstly its not that you cant control yourself around food its that your body doesn't feel safe around food. You don't trust yourself around food, listening to your body or making choices for yourself. Self trust is one of the main things that you work on when it comes to healing your relationship with food because its the main thing that is lost when you spend years yo yo dieting, in the binge restrict cycle or always restricting. Dieting is not the issue, fatloss is not the issue but being in that way of thinking ALL of the time is the issue Todays episode we talk all things self trust. How its broken down in the first place & what you can do to rebuild self trust (all of the things i spoke about are all the things ive done and my clients have done).
