Kuvaus

In week 2 of our God Intended It For Good series, Maya Mendez continues the story of Joseph in Genesis 39. After being betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery, Joseph finds himself in Egypt, serving in Potiphar’s house. Even there, God is with Joseph, and Joseph continues to live with integrity under pressure. But when Potiphar’s wife falsely accuses him, Joseph’s integrity does not keep him from suffering. Instead, it lands him in prison. This message explores what Joseph’s story teaches us about living faithfully when integrity is tested: • Integrity doesn’t depend on my circumstances. Joseph decided in advance who he would be and where he would draw the line. He didn’t wait until pressure came to decide what mattered. • When we lack integrity, we often attack, blame, and twist the truth. Potiphar’s wife shows us how easily people can compromise the truth to protect themselves or settle a score. • Integrity comes with a cost. Doing the right thing doesn’t always mean people will understand, believe you, or treat you fairly. • Integrity speaks the truth but doesn’t seek revenge. Joseph doesn’t try to settle the score. He continues to be faithful and trusts God with the outcome. Joseph’s story also points us forward to Jesus, who was falsely accused, suffered unjustly, and maintained perfect integrity. Both Joseph and Jesus remind us that faithfulness to God may cost us, but God is still present, still working, and still writing the end of the story. If you are walking through a season where your character has been questioned, stories have been twisted, or doing the right thing has cost you, this message is a reminder: Maintain your integrity. Trust that God sees the truth. And believe that He is still writing your story. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. God Intended It For Good: When Dreams Become Nightmares - Week 1

What do you do when the dream God gave you starts to look more like a nightmare? In week one of our series God Intended It For Good, Daniel Scotti introduces us to the story of Joseph—a young man with big dreams, a dysfunctional family, and a future that seemed to unravel before it ever began. Joseph's story starts with promise, but quickly turns into betrayal, rejection, and suffering. Yet through every step and every stop, God was still at work. What looked like setbacks were actually setting the stage for something greater than Joseph could see. In this message, we discover several powerful lessons from the opening chapter of Joseph's life: • Unresolved family issues impact the next generation. The favoritism, deception, and brokenness that shaped Joseph's family had been passed down for generations. God's healing often begins when someone chooses to address what everyone else ignores. • Joseph had the right message, but not the right maturity. Having truth isn't enough. God also develops the character, wisdom, and timing needed to share that truth well. • The pit isn't the end—it's the messy middle. Before God fulfilled Joseph's dream, He first worked on Joseph's character. Sometimes what feels like a setback is actually preparation for what God wants to do next. • When everyone believed the story was over, God was already writing the next chapter. While Joseph sat in a pit, was sold into slavery, and was presumed dead by his family, God was still working behind the scenes. The final word of Genesis 37 reminds us that "meanwhile" God was positioning Joseph exactly where he needed to be. This message is for anyone who feels stuck in the middle of a story they don't understand. If you've experienced disappointment, betrayal, delays, or circumstances that seem completely opposite of God's promises, Joseph's story reminds us that God is still at work—even when we can't see it. Because what feels like a step back may actually be a setup for what God intends to do next. Series Big Idea: God was in both the steps and stops of Joseph's life. And He is in yours too. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

Brand New: Wk 8 - A New Future

What gives us hope when life hurts? In the final week of our Brand New series, Pastor James Grogan walks through the second half of Romans 8 and reminds us that suffering is real—but it is not the end of the story. Through one of the most powerful chapters in all of Scripture, we discover how followers of Jesus can live with unstoppable hope and unconquerable love, even in the middle of pain. Using the picture of a rope stretching endlessly into eternity, Pastor James challenges us to think beyond the short “green section” of our earthly lives and see our suffering through the perspective of eternity. Romans 8 reminds us that this life is temporary, but the promises of God are eternal. This message explores four powerful truths about what it means to live with A New Future in Christ: • Suffering is here now, yet I have hope something far better will be. Romans 8 points us toward the future restoration of all things. One day God will wipe away every tear, remove every pain, and fully redeem both creation and His people. • In my suffering I have help from God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are never abandoned in our pain. The Holy Spirit helps us in weakness, Jesus intercedes for us, and the Father remains for us even when life feels heavy and uncertain. • God works for my good, even in suffering, by making me like Christ. Romans 8:28 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arNl1hu74Ck&t=508s] is not a promise that everything is good—but that God can bring good even from painful things by shaping us into the image of Jesus. • My victory in Christ is certain because God’s love never fails. Nothing—not suffering, fear, death, failure, hardship, or loss—can separate us from the love of God found in Christ Jesus. Pastor James also speaks honestly and compassionately about grief, loss, disappointment, and the reality of suffering in this broken world. This is not a “just move on” message—it’s a reminder that Jesus meets us in our pain and gives us a hope bigger than our circumstances. If you are walking through suffering, uncertainty, or discouragement, this message is a reminder: The best is still ahead. God has not abandoned you. And nothing can separate you from His love. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

Brand New: Wk 7 - A New Power

What if the Christian life was never meant to be lived in your own strength? In week 7 of our Brand New series, Pastor James Grogan walks through the powerful truths of Romans 8—one of the most hope-filled and life-changing chapters in all of Scripture. Often called “The Everest of the New Testament,” Romans 8 reminds us what is now true because of Jesus and what it means to live with the power of the Holy Spirit. Pastor James revisits the journey through Romans and shows how Paul has been building toward this incredible reality: Because of Jesus, we are no longer condemned, controlled by sin, or separated from God—we are brand new. This message unpacks four life-changing truths for every follower of Jesus: • I have a new verdict because I’m in Christ. “There is now no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” Through Jesus, our guilty verdict has been removed and replaced with grace, freedom, and forgiveness. • I have a new mindset because the Spirit is changing me. Paul contrasts the mindset of the flesh—self-will, self-glory, self-gratification—with the mindset of the Spirit, which leads to life, peace, humility, and transformation. • I have a new power because the Spirit is in me. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in every believer. We are no longer powerless against sin or temptation because God’s Spirit empowers us to live differently. • I have a new identity because I’m adopted into God’s family. God didn’t reluctantly accept us—He chose us, adopted us, and made us His children. Our identity is now rooted in His love, grace, and presence. Pastor James reminds us that the Christian life is not about trying harder—it’s about surrendering more fully to the Holy Spirit. If you’ve ever struggled with shame, insecurity, temptation, or feeling spiritually stuck, this message is a reminder: You are not condemned. You are not alone. And you are not powerless. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.
