Trigger, Please! with Bernard McGuirk

In this weeks episode Bernie highlights the media hysteria and hypocrisy regarding the Wuhanvirus, politicians politicizing and attacking President Trump over the Wuhanvirus, and an update on the dull Democratic field running for president. The media is claiming that describing or referring to this coronavirus as the Chinese Coronavirus and the Wuhan Virus is racist, all the while forgetting that they were using those exact words and phrases less than a month ago as Bernie provides the evidence of their hypocrisy. In these dire times we should be looking to work with, not against each other but soulless politicians like Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and Bernie Sanders to name a few are using this pandemic to attack President Trump. And yes, the Democrats are still looking for a presidential nominee and it looks as though Joe Biden will be that person and Bernie Sanders is not doing anything to help his chance to pull the carpet out from under Biden and secure the nomination. Trigger, please!!!

Megalomaniac Mini Mike Bloomberg ends his presidential campaign, Sleepy Joe Bidens sudden surge following Super Tuesday, and the Old Cranky Communist Bernie Sanders does not want to take the gloves off and hit his opponents where it hurts them most. These are only a few of the headlines from a week that also included Chris Matthews 'retiring', a 20-year-old illegal immigrant child rapist being set free in Brooklyn, Andrew Yang hinting at a possible run for Mayor of New York City, and Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant advocating that marijuana is harmless and can only make things better. Bernie covers all of it and much more in episode 13 of 'Trigger, Please!!!'.

Bernie listens so you don't have to. That's the motto a lot of the time on 'Trigger, Please!!!' because Bernie understands that a lot of the news is hard to watch and listen to. With that said,  in this week's episode Bernie recaps the yelling match that was the Democratic debate in South Carolina, weighs in on Harvey Weinstein's detour from the courthouse to the hospital rather than jail, and takes the media and Democrats to task for blaming the Coronavirus on President Trump. Bernie also sheds light on a character on 'The Simpsons'  that is an accurate depiction of Asian immigrants work ethic and perseverance despite many obstacles, but the actor who voices the character says that is not the case. The NBC moderators once again neglected to ask the candidates questions about the booming economy, transgenders participating in scholastic sports, or the antisemitic supporters of some candidates, all of which would have triggered them.
