episode How To Sell $3 Billion With Creative Advertising – Ron Lynch artwork
How To Sell $3 Billion With Creative Advertising – Ron Lynch

Most of us go around chasing money. We try to figure out how to go from zero to a million dollars to be fulfilled. But with the focus on money, what is it that we’re looking for? Provision? Influence? Choices? In reality, money doesn’t provide these. Our guest today helps us realize the importance of giving value. Ron Lynch is the Founder and Creative Director of Big Baby Agency, which has helped generate over $3 billion in sales for big brands like GoPro, Samsung, RugDoctor, Eagle One, BackJoy and a lot more. He shares in this episode a glimpse of how his process is for his clients when they consult on creating advertising campaigns. 3 Key Points * Focusing on providing value will give you the fulfilled life of sustaining other members of the tribe. * It’s not about chasing the money; it’s about providing value. * You have to get your audience’s attention and further lure them into listening to what you have to say. Each sentence should progress through looking at a mirror, pointing out a flaw or pride, opening them to change, and getting their buy-in to take action. Cliff notes It’s not about chasing the money; it’s about providing value. It’s not just the ad campaign. It’s teaching them how to provide the customer with such value in the ad campaign process. I worked in a grocery store for my day job and worked my way up in the retail grocery industry until I became CEO through having good mentors in that business. We put cooking kiosks in the store to teach the audience to eat and cook better. We moved them from eating poor food to rich food, poor quality food to better quality food, and teaching food preparation. This led to a client asking to borrow the kitchen on the store floor to shoot an infomercial for a grill where they would shoot some man-on-the-street testimonials from there. I quit my job in the grocery business and moved over to advertising. Are you known, or are you unknown? Do you have a distribution network in place or not? If you’re unknown, you need to go through the process of problem+solution, USP (unique selling point), offer, and CTA (call to action). How can you be entertaining, educational, informative, light-hearted, sad-hearted? How can you take control of me with words and pictures? You have to be talking to me about me. If you can approach your content from how they see themselves, how do you get them to look at the mirror in the first sentence? In the second sentence, what do you want to point out? Do you point out a flaw or point out pride? Good or bad, hope or fear? What do you want them to be aware of? The third sentence would answer what change would you like to see? Everybody wants change; everybody wants better. Evoke change in sentence number three. In sentence number four, you address that they want that change and tell them how they can have that change. The Harmon Brothers are excellent at the process of familiarity and storytelling. The more constraints you have, the more creative you must become. That’s what we do with really good content. We share it. You have to go through a process to learn, to become a master at something. The nature of the world is to program you that you need more money to be fulfilled. These people are continuously validating the acquiring of goods to appear to be something that you’re not. It’s all driven by ego. What we teach people is that you want to have value in the world. Value is who provides the most. The goal is to have a fulfilled life where you are sustaining other members of the tribe. That’s the love you’re looking for. You can’t make money by chasing money. Lee Iacocca sold what they needed then. He was following an audience first and then tapping in with a product. You can create a whole industry creatively on what doesn’t exist that does exist. We can come up with food, costumes, events to sell our alcohol just like that. episode How To eMail Your List And Make Sales 365 Days A Year – Rob & Kennedy artwork
How To eMail Your List And Make Sales 365 Days A Year – Rob & Kennedy

Sending emails every day may sound like too much for some people. We’re afraid of getting marked as spam. Our guests, Rob & Kennedy, started to build their email lists for their businesses and eventually had people come up to them for their proprietary techniques of building their email lists. They now have a program that teaches you how to send those emails every day and where people actually want to open them. Things Mentioned * Daily Email Strategy course [http://www.theemailmarketingshow.com/des] 3 Key Points * Set expectations on what your audience will expect if they sign up on your mailing list. * When sending emails, send them content that matters to your audience and are relevant to their interests so that they’ll want to consume your content. * Don’t send emails a few times in a month and then only talk about the product you’re selling. Cliff notes We take those skills of being able to understand and influence people and put that into written form so that you can connect to people who are reading on a much deeper level. One of the first things we do when anyone joins our list is that we set up the expectations for them and for us, for the rest of that relationship, for the rest of that time. We’re going to email you every day; if you don’t like that idea, scroll down and unsubscribe. We point them around, and we get them clicking. We’re training them that there are things they can click on the emails which will get them good stuff. We just don’t say a thing happened; we demonstrate how it happened. If we tell them there’s free training on Facebook, we guide them through the steps to click so they can go through that sequence. We literally grew our business on its own from zero to six figures using that strategy. “Would you like to receive a tip from us every single day about how to improve your email marketing? If you would give us your email address.” There are two cool things about that. One, it’s the fastest thing in the market because you don’t need to create a lead magnet for that. Secondly, they’re never going to complain whenever they receive an email from you every day. A really interesting side effect of emailing more often is getting a good email open rate, depending on the industry, list size and many different factors. He used our daily email strategy, and over a week, he got an 80% open rate. You actually get seen more often, and people can’t forget who you are. Emotionally and psychologically, it’s better to email more often. One of the first things we would do is to audit what we’ve got. We’ll look at your current list, how big is it, how engaged are they, and look at the disengaged segment. There’s a massive percentage of people who change their email every year. We’re not going to do what most people used to do on email marketing. People want to consume content, so they’re going to open your email. But if the only time I email you is to tell you what I’ve got for sale, you’re only going to open that if you’re curious or if you have an intention to buy, otherwise there’s no reason to open the email. Whereas when we show up every day and give you a tip with a piece of value in it, you got a good reason to open those emails. There’s content on the emails themselves. They’re content-driven emails. Write down 50 or more different things that your audience cares about with none of them about your product. They’re going to read your emails whether they’re in the buying zone or not. episode How To Start An 8 Figure Amazon Business – Stephen Somers artwork
How To Start An 8 Figure Amazon Business – Stephen Somers

Hundreds of Amazon FBA courses have sprung up like mushrooms. Most of us want to figure out if becoming an Amazon seller is for us, whether it’s a good business, and how to become successful if we decide to do so. Stephen Somers is the co-founder and CEO of Marketplace Superheroes where they have helped close to 8000 members build successful businesses selling their own simple branded products globally on Amazon. He shares some specific tips on how to find that product, how to sell it on Amazon, and some great life advice when you’re dealing with your 6-figure income. Things Mentioned * The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0887307280/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_tpbk_p1_i0] 3 Key Points * When looking for an Amazon course, look for one that’s transparent, has made mistakes, people who have actual experience from the world of Amazon FBA. * It’s essential to know how to find the right product. Use a system on how to look for it. Look at the more niche, non-competitive supply, weird items, where there’s a low supply level, but there is a certain level of demand * Find your motivators that are not just money. If you’re chasing money forever, you’re not going to be happy. Cliff notes I needed to figure out how I can learn from someone who knows what they’re doing. I realized there was no real system behind what they were doing. They were just selling a lot of different products on these different marketplaces. We started to refine everything and realized we don’t need these warehouses. We needed to get rid of 95% of the products that he was selling and find all new stuff in different categories on Amazon. We turned everything around, got rid of all the warehouses, got rid of all the staff, it was just the two of us, and we were doing $1.2m – $1.6m a year revenue where 30% of that was net profit before tax. 10-12% of total retail sales were made online. Out of that, 50% were made on Amazon. They were dominating the e-commerce space before the Coronavirus. The days of just ordering some stuff from China and then sending them to Amazon are over. The reason is Amazon is a fulfilment center; they’re not a warehouse. They get hit by long term storage fees because the items weren’t turning fast enough. Amazon has put in an inventory performance index, which just means you can’t just send all your stuff. You need to have a partner who has a warehouse or have your warehouse. Certain products are saturated on Amazon. There’s so much supply, and there’s not enough demand on the platform. But when you look at the more niche, non-competitive supply, weird items, there’s no supply level, but there is a level of demand. It’s a very real business, and you should be looking at learning how it works. If it makes sense to you, then start putting money into it because the return on your investment is great. Find your motivators out of just money. If you’re chasing money forever, you’re not going to be happy. The problem with most courses in this area is that they’ll have you sell random items. We want to go to smaller niches; the product is really clear, the offerings are not very good. We can come in there and drastically improve the offer, add in bonus items, improve the listing dramatically, get that product into multiple countries. episode How To Network With Billionaires – Steve Sims artwork
How To Network With Billionaires – Steve Sims

We’ve all probably had those moments where we limit ourselves from dreaming big or setting a goal because we instantly tell ourselves that it’s impossible. We use fear to stop us. But what if you knew how successful people take on their goals? Steve Sims is the CEO and Founder of The Blue Fish — the elite lifestyle concierge service for celebrities, corporate executives, and professional athletes. He shares in this episode his story of how he came about with Blue Fish, and how he now coaches people to dream stupid or go for stupid so they can achieve more than their “achievable dreams”. Things Mentioned * Bluefishing: The Art of Making Things Happen (book) [https://www.amazon.com/Bluefishing-Art-Making-Things-Happen/dp/1501152521/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=bluefish&qid=1622553203&sr=8-2] * An Entrepreneur’s Advantage with Steve Sims [https://www.facebook.com/groups/stevedsims/] 3 Key Points * Changing your mindset sounds cliche. But the people you hang around with makes a big impact on how you set your goals, your views, and how you take things into stride. So choose the room you’re in. * Go for stupid. Go for a goal that’s so ridiculous people will laugh at you. * If you can open your mind to opportunities, achieve a few things you didn’t think would be achievable, your mind suddenly opens up and demands opportunities. Cliff notes Poor people hang around with poor people. I decided I had to change my room. I decided to change the people I was hanging around with. I got to see the rich people how they acted. I also got to see how the fake rich people how they pretended. I got to ask them, “how come you’re so successful and I’m where I am?” I wanted to get that mindset. That was the whole point of the journey. You can be successful without being a billionaire. They appreciate failure. Successful people are the ones that lean in to the failure. They figure out how and where they got it wrong. Non-successful people, repel and cry. They allow failure to refine them, not define them. They value relationships over accolades and credentials. They recruit culture. They employ people and cultural fit. A brand is being built based on the recipient’s demand. You have to focus on your message being really simple and impossible to misunderstand. Branding has to be an incredibly simplified message that is impossible to misunderstand to help recipients spread your message. Go for stupid. Go for a goal that’s so ridiculous people will laugh at you. You subconsciously tell yourself that impossible when you say it’s impossible. If you can open your mind to opportunities, achieve a few things you didn’t think would be achievable, your mind suddenly opens up and demands opportunities. You suddenly recognize where they are. Your subconscious actually starts working for you rather than against you. If you tell yourself you can’t do it, you’re right. People use fear to stop them. I use fear to fuel me. Like all entrepreneurs, aggravated oysters make pearls. If something bothers me, then I want to go and do it. If I’m sitting still, I look for something to challenge myself. I’m now creating the rooms I wanna live in with the right kind of creative disruptors. Sharpen your tools now and let’s get ready to fight. Master Your Mind To Win At Social Media – Adrienne Finch

Social media platforms come and go. There are so many to choose from, and figuring out how to successfully utilize them can be overwhelming. Adrienne Finch has a combined following of 1.1 million people; she is the CEO of Self-Made Mastery, a content creator, and host of the Self-Made Mastery podcast. She also provides online branding and business consulting for individuals and major companies. In this episode, she shares her knowledge and experience about using various platforms, how she manages creating content for each of them, and some insights into becoming successful in your passion. Things Mentioned * Airtable [https://airtable.com/] * Self-Made Mastery with Adrienne Finch Podcast [https://open.spotify.com/show/31Zjk3a6Ec1Rt4dXtrQZi9] * Patreon Self-Made Mastery [https://www.patreon.com/selfmademastery] 3 Key Points * Understand the platform’s algorithm, your brand, and your audience. * Brands also see the value of micro-influencers and how they are sometimes outperforming those with millions of followers. They tend to have a more authentic and intimate relationship with their audience. * Many people don’t realize that you don’t get there by just changing what you do. You get there by changing who you are at your root and what you believe you’re capable of. Cliff notes I love exploring platforms and seeing what works. As these platforms have grown and become more saturated, they need to streamline the content to the viewer better. Instead of showing all the videos to a viewer, they have a mechanism to gauge what those viewers’ habits are. What kinds of videos are they watching? It’s great for the consumer in certain ways because you have a curated home page of what you want to watch. What is working the best now on platforms is not specifically one genre of content. It’s when you brand yourself, on what you do, what your topic is. When you’re all over the place, it becomes harder for the platform to boost your content. TikTok, by far, the algorithm works the fastest and the best. Influencer marketing is so appealing because it is so targeted, and they would spend a lot less money than they would on traditional marketing. I usually time-block my week. I dedicate certain days to certain platforms. I have different brands for each platform. Once your brain is in that zone thinking about that content, it’s just more productive. As an entrepreneur and as someone on social media, it’s important to diversify and make sure you have different revenue streams coming in and different places where different audience members are. A lot of people don’t realize that you don’t get there by just changing what you do. You get there by changing who you are at your root and what you believe you’re capable of.
