I can remember a time where this woman had my nose wide open as well as me acting out of character just to be impressive to her. Funny to look back at it but certainly pitiful to have actually done so. Either way, i pedestaled the situation and it costs my identity. Well I’ll speak for me, I fight with my wounded inner child everyday to not say some slick shit to someone who attempted to get a rise out of me. I have to remember that they need my permission to offend me, but dammit sometimes “I got time today” is the mindset and I have to talk myself off the ledge to not resort to childish behavior.
