Episode 4: Chapter 7

Chapter 7: Medication or distraction? This is the choice I have in dealing with my anxiety. All of my emotions are on overload, while I reminisce about my love for Pam. I speak the words I wish I could’ve said to her. Such a wasted opportunity! My anxiety is destroying my life.

Episode 3: Chapter 5 and 6

Ch.5: I continue my search for love and acceptance. Then the unexpected happened. I had a serious car accident. Suddenly, I found myself in the hospital not knowing what happened. It was a frightening time for me. Ch.6:  I leave my brothers house where I have been staying for seven months, and I move into a new apartment alone. A new romance shows promise. The ability to control my intrusive thoughts gets more difficult.

Episode 2: Chapter 3 and 4

Chapter 3: I was only a few months into the fourth grade when the assassination of President Kennedy happened. Very unsettling moment in my young life. This was the time when I also had to contend with bullies.  Chapter 4 I talk about my first real relationships. My relationship with Deb B and then the subsequent relationship with Linda and eventually to Theta who would be my wife for 20 years.It was a time of discovery for me. Could I find someone who would love me?

Intro and Chapters 1 and 2

On Episode 1 we introduce you to Author James P. Doyle. We give some background on the mental health affliction that Jim faces. Jim suffers from OCD with hyper awareness. Jim has chosen to take this condition and fight head on. Jim’s vision is to make a statement that no one has to be stigmatized by their mental health afflictions. Second, Jim wants to use this affliction to fuel his storytelling. Jim reads from Chapters 1 and 2 from his book, A Perfect Hell, on this podcast.
