Well, they did that in the B-17. After doing it once or twice, the tower came on the radio and said, 'Would you ladies get off the radio? We're trying to get a B-17 in.' It never occurred to them the ladies would be flying. * "I think women make better pilots than men. I think they're more careful. When you're flying the airplane, you don't force this thing. You don't manhandle it…. You're gentle on the stick…."
