A Perfect Storm in a Pandemic (1st Case Study)

Klatt, PhD, RD (he/him) speaks with Section Editor Nancy Krebs MD MS, and Stephanie Waldrop MD MPH, both from the Section of Nutrition at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center. Drs Kreb and Waldrop discuss their recent publication, the inaugural case in the new “Nutrition for the Clinician” series, detailing a case of a pediatric patient presenting with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) and additional unexplained symptoms that resulted in consulting the nutrition team. Drs Kreb and Waldrop discuss the events leading up to their consultation, their approach to assessment and diagnosis of the patient, and ultimate intervention and monitoring.
