The Unsolved Murder of Christiane Heiser

In November 1992, 21-year-old Luxembourgish student Christiane Heiser was found brutally murdered in her apartment on the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) campus in Brussels. Despite extensive investigations, her case remains unsolved over three decades later. Background Christiane had recently returned from a year in the United States and commenced her studies in economic sciences at ULB in October 1992. She resided in room 138 on the first floor of Campus Irena V, a building rented by the Luxembourgish government for its students. Described as intelligent and reserved, she was focused on her studies and had been living on campus for about a month. The Crime On the night of November 10, 1992, while many students attended a party, Christiane chose to stay in her room to study. Her absence over the following days raised concerns among acquaintances, leading campus authorities to check on her. On November 12, police and firefighters discovered her apartment locked. Upon entry, they found pools of blood in the living area and her body in the bathroom, which had been locked from the inside. She had suffered multiple stab wounds, and a plastic bag was secured over her head with an electrical cable around her neck. Notably, the initials "CH" were carved into her body. Hosted on Ausha.
