episode Bankable! CRDF Global and the Robin Copeland Memorial Fellowship artwork

Bankable! CRDF Global and the Robin Copeland Memorial Fellowship

Threats and opportunities often go hand in hand, with innovation, technology, and collaboration offering solutions to advance security and stability, so suggests the Civilian Research and Development Foundation Global (CRDF Global). Non-Proliferation, Nuclear Security and Women Leadership is a focus for CRDF Global, with its Robin Copeland Memorial Fellowship (RCMF) program designed to build technical capacity and leadership among early- to mid-career professionals through tailored trainings, regional networks, and sustained mentorship. Having been wowed by the 2024/2025 RCMF fellows, met on the sidelines of the Women in Nuclear Global annual conference in London 2025, it is apt to showcase representatives, including: 🎓 Nurul Ilyani from Malaysia, whose ambition is connecting science, education and policy: she highlights the need to strengthen nuclear science in building a safer and more secure world to develop the next generation of security expertise. 🎓Anindya Drysca, from Indonesia who stresses the need to showcase nuclear as safe, transparent, and trustable: she highlights the benefits of civilian nuclear in decarbonizing a power hungry nation. 🤝 Dr. Kelle Barfeld, showcasing how her work with CRDF is supporting SMR advancement and the social science of nuclear, i.e., ensuring the language used in nuclear addresses risk perceptions with the three S’s: Safety, Security, Safeguards. 🤝 Lucy Matthews, showcasing the breadth of partners and funders from government to commercial, including Carnegie Corporation of New York’s grant to RCMF which supports its ambitions, alongside other CDRF Global programs which seeks to expand conversations amongst nations. There is much to learn from the experiences and ambitions of these women: feel inspired by the conversation! Plus, shoutout to World Institute for Nuclear Security for its contribution to the Three S’s! Bankable! is not another podcast. It is the only conversation including New Nuclear alongside low-carbon and renewable energy sources. 🎧 Listen on a favorite podcast platform, including Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and Spotify [search, “Bankable!”] or on the web: https://shows.acast.com/bankable! 📺 Watch on Youtube: https://youtube.com/@frescocleantechsolutions [https://youtube.com/@frescocleantechsolutions] 🔗 Join the conversation as a guest or nominate an energy transition pioneer! https://www.linkedin.com/company/frescocleantechsolutions/ 🌐Subscribe for early alerts and identify innovative investment solutions with Fresco CleanTech Solutions at https://frescocleantech.solutions/ 📲Contact the host and producer to contribute to the conversation! https://www.linkedin.com/in/doreen-abeysundra References: [CRDF Global] https://www.crdfglobal.org/ [RCMF] https://crdfglobal.org/what-we-do/robin-copeland-memorial-fellowship-program/ [Atom Malaysia] https://www.atom.gov.my/en/online-system/ [BRIN] https://www.brin.go.id/en [WINS] https://www.wins.org/ Subscribe to Bankable! at https://frescocleantech.solutions/ [https://frescocleantech.solutions/] All comments expressed on the show are strictly owned by the speaker and do not in any way represent a position held by Fresco CleanTech Solutions, unless advised otherwise. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. Bankable! Engineering for Nuclear and AI Infrastructure

Digital Twins, Microgrids, Cyber Security, Predictive Baseload, Demand and Supply Optimization: fundamental to advancing nuclear power and data centers, so describes the brilliantly engaging, Matthew D. Chew from HY_Beecon https://hy-me.com.sg/.  Highlighting credible technical and engineering knowledge as a necessity for efficient investment and insurance decisions, attention is drawn to actively avoiding cyber physical risk.   How does due diligence and third-party certification factor into technology innovation? It ensures there isn’t any, “own self check own self!” Listen to identify the explanation! Driven by self determination and an abject enthusiasm for gaining and sharing knowledge, this is one speaker who spurs the audience to embrace engineering, “the enabler of evolution,” as Matthew describes.  Bankable! is not another podcast. It is the only conversation including New Nuclear alongside low-carbon and renewable energy sources.  🎧 Listen on a favorite podcast platform, including Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and Spotify [search, “Bankable!”] or on the web: https://shows.acast.com/bankable [https://shows.acast.com/bankable]! 📺 Watch on Youtube: https://youtu.be/hP07aCvPTbE [https://youtu.be/hP07aCvPTbE]  🔗 Join the conversation as a guest or nominate an energy transition pioneer! https://www.linkedin.com/company/frescocleantechsolutions/ [https://www.linkedin.com/company/frescocleantechsolutions/]   🌐Subscribe for early alerts and identify innovative investment solutions with Fresco CleanTech Solutions at https://frescocleantech.solutions/ [https://frescocleantech.solutions/]  📲Contact the host and producer to contribute to the conversation! https://www.linkedin.com/in/doreen-abeysundra [https://www.linkedin.com/in/doreen-abeysundra] Subscribe to Bankable! at https://frescocleantech.solutions/ [https://frescocleantech.solutions/] All comments expressed on the show are strictly owned by the speaker and do not in any way represent a position held by Fresco CleanTech Solutions, unless advised otherwise. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. Bankable! Geothermal

“Drill, Baby, Drill!”  Albeit, for geothermal heat as a low-carbon replacement to fossil fuel, so say Jonathan Poh, Research Fellow (Geology) at Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technical University Singapore and Nicolas Eyssallenne [https://www.linkedin.com/in/nicolaseyssallenne/overlay/about-this-profile/], Founder of Karda One.  Is Geothermal a bankable energy source? This researcher and developer both suggest there are plausible mitigations to the first-of-a-kind risks to enable the subsurface heat ambitions in advancing AI Infrastructure, Decarbonization and Energy Security.  Consider Jonathan’s publications:  Geothermal Development in South, Southeast and East Asia: A Review -> https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S136403212400769X?via%3Dihub [https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.sciencedirect.com_science_article_abs_pii_S136403212400769X-3Fvia-253Dihub&d=DwMGaQ&c=euGZstcaTDllvimEN8b7jXrwqOf-v5A_CdpgnVfiiMM&r=jKo1XRwjuDi-ZqIZ_7J3QrEGI7JxGhzwbOtzobcIFcf1tXCen1-R63EFK-jhyYSu&m=hnNUSmd1wESWA9JQ-QdipPzJjLUiQvQy2zJ7KFfnTS9XxZNWREoonBNAfbS3QLdr&s=ZaDhjUUi85eCToFUNKfMADcrS49lXNGLYBSxLRxei-w&e=] Geothermal Exploration Through Deep Exploratory Slimholes: Singapore’s Perspective https://www.researchgate.net/publication/389518362_Geothermal_Exploration_Through_Deep_Exploratory_Slimholes_Singapore's_Perspective [https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.researchgate.net_publication_389518362-5FGeothermal-5FExploration-5FThrough-5FDeep-5FExploratory-5FSlimholes-5FSingapore-27s-5FPerspective&d=DwMGaQ&c=euGZstcaTDllvimEN8b7jXrwqOf-v5A_CdpgnVfiiMM&r=jKo1XRwjuDi-ZqIZ_7J3QrEGI7JxGhzwbOtzobcIFcf1tXCen1-R63EFK-jhyYSu&m=hnNUSmd1wESWA9JQ-QdipPzJjLUiQvQy2zJ7KFfnTS9XxZNWREoonBNAfbS3QLdr&s=Xz8qmoT3_xEHanAFFmCiDRsSbWCwoV9qtw5hOMg2zRQ&e=] Consider Nicolas’ commercial ambitions via Karda One, https://www.kardaone.com/ [https://www.kardaone.com/] Subscribe to Bankable! on your favorite podcast platform.
