Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2452847/open_sms] Grief has a way of wearing down both body and soul. In this episode, we reflect on Psalm 31:9–10 and the honest prayer of David, who cried out to God in deep distress. His words remind us that sorrow is not a sign of weak faith—it is an invitation to draw near to God. Together, we’ll explore what it means to entrust our grief to the Lord: not by denying our pain, but by placing it into His hands. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or quietly carrying sorrow, this episode offers biblical encouragement and a gentle reminder that you don’t have to carry it alone. Tracy@bereavementjoy.org

When God feels silent but stays close

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2452847/open_sms] Psalms 34:18 - The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. God doesn't distance himself from pain - He draws near to it. When life breaks your heart, it can feel like God has stepped back. Silent. Distant. Unmoved. But what if the opposite is true? In this episode, we explore the powerful truth that God does not distance Himself from pain - He draws near to it.   If you have ever wondered where God is in your heartbreak, your loss, or your confusion, this conversation will remind you that He is not absent - He is close. Closer than you think. Closer than your fear tells you. You are not abandoned in your struggle.  You are accompanied. Tracy@bereavementjoy.org

How to trust with all your heart when your heart is broken

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2452847/open_sms] Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make straight your paths." What does it really mean to trust God will all your heart when your heart feels shattered? When loss, disappointment, or unanswered prayers leave you wounded, trusting God can feel impossible- or even unfair.  Yet Scripture calls us to trust Him not with a healed heart, but with the one we have right now... broken pieces and all! In this episode, we gently explore what wholehearted trust looks like in seasons of grief.  We talk about releasing the pressure to be "strong", bringing your honest pain to God, and learning how trust can coexist with heartbreak.  You'11 be reminded that God is not intimidated by your questions, your tears, or your fragile faith. If your heart is hurting and you're struggling to trust God the way you used to, this conversation is for you.  Come as you are. Let God meet you in the brokenness-and begin to rebuild trust one surrendered moment at a time. Tracy@bereavementjoy.org
