Why & when should I engage a High Risk Foot Service?

Cassie Barrette is the Podiatry and Diabetes Foot Service Coordinator at Western Health in Melbourne. Since 2005, Casie has been working in private practice, community health and acute care health settings in the area of high risk foot across organisations throughout Melbourne and the NHS in the UK. The Diabetes foot health service at Western Health was one of the first to be accredited by the National Association of Diabetes Centres. An evidence-based approach in diabetes-related foot disease

Dr Michelle is the Podiatry Research Lead at Monash Health and has over 13 years of clinical and research experience in the prevention and management of high-risk foot conditions. In this episode, Dr Kaminski discusses the importance of consistency of care delivery, improved patient outcomes, informed clinical decision making, and how to use the best evidence available in the context of lower limb wounds and specifically, diabetes-related foot disease.
