March 5, 1959, The Negro Boys Industrial School went up in flames and 21 black boys burned to death. In 2010 Renetta was murdered in a double homicide along with Jerome Hampton and their deaths were nothing less than violence. In this episode I dive into the history of New Orleans and the Magnolia Projects which was a cradle for the most influential artists of our time.
