Descripción

This episode wasn’t planned… but it was necessary. I had a guest scheduled for this week, but at the last minute she decided she didn’t want to speak on her past—specifically her time in prison. And for me, that’s not something I can skip over. At Break Phree Podcast, we don’t tell half stories. We don’t hide the hard parts. We don’t protect images over truth. So I made a decision to pivot—and sit down by myself. In this solo episode, I’m talking about what it really means to be free… and how so many people are still living in bondage even when it looks like they’ve made it out. We’re talking about: Being free vs. looking free The fear of telling your full story How shame keeps people stuck Why truth is a requirement for real freedom Choosing purpose over popularity This conversation is raw, real, and unfiltered—because freedom starts with truth. If you’ve ever felt stuck, silenced, or afraid to fully own your story… this one is for you. ⸻ Subscribe to Break Phree Podcast: Follow Break Phree Podcast: Instagram: @breakphreepodcast TikTok: @breakphreepodcast

episode I Lost My Mother… Then I Lost Myself ft. Tekesia Shields. artwork

I Lost My Mother… Then I Lost Myself ft. Tekesia Shields.

I Lost My Mother… Then I Lost Myself ft. Tekesia Shields. Before there was Ms. Tk… there was Tekesia. A young girl raised by a single mother, becoming a teenage mom at just 16 years old while still trying to figure out life herself. But at only 18, everything changed when her mother unexpectedly passed away — and survival mode took over. In this raw and powerful episode of Break Phree Podcast, Tekesia opens up about grief, motherhood, the streets, survival, and how pain created a version of herself the world would later know as “Ms. Tk.” But her story doesn’t end there. After her own son was sent to prison, she transformed her pain into purpose by founding Mothers Against Gang Violence — advocating for families impacted by gang culture, incarceration, and violence. This episode is honest, emotional, and deeply reflective for anyone who knows what it feels like to lose themselves while trying to survive. Because survival may change you… but it does not have to destroy you.

God is in The Details ft. London King

✨ God Is In The Details ft. London King What looks like “luck” is often God moving behind the scenes. In this episode of Break Phree Podcast, Angela Wright sits down with entrepreneur and visionary London King for a raw conversation about survival, success, grief, faith, and purpose. From growing up learning independence at an early age… to hustling as a young girl selling candy in school… to building powerful brands and experiences for women—London shares the truth behind the image. But behind the businesswoman is a woman who has endured unimaginable loss. After losing her son two years ago, London found herself leaning on God in a way she never had before. Together, Angela and London unpack what it means to trust God when life stops making sense, heal while still leading, and understand that even the painful moments serve a purpose. This episode is for the women in survival mode. The women carrying grief privately. The women trying to build while breaking. Because sometimes the biggest lesson is this: God was in the details the whole time. 🎙️ Break Phree Podcast Where Faith Meets Freedom.

episode I Lived To Tell The Story ft. Sakari artwork

I Lived To Tell The Story ft. Sakari

Before she became a celebrated entrepreneur, a Spelman alumna, and the visionary behind a luxury fragrance brand… Sakari Sanders was fighting for her life—literally. In this deeply raw and necessary conversation, Sakari opens up about the reality behind her glow—surviving abusive relationships where her life was once threatened, including a moment no woman should ever have to experience… a gun placed in her mouth. But this episode isn’t just about what she endured— it’s about what she unlearned. We talk about: • Staying in toxic cycles just to say you have a man • Confusing attention with love • Ignoring red flags and abandoning self-worth • How brokenness attracts brokenness • And the hard truth about why we settle Sakari doesn’t hold back as she walks us through her journey of rebuilding—from survival mode to self-love, from silence to standards. Now, as the founder of Give Me Flowers, a community dedicated to honoring women’s stories in love, life, and business, she’s helping other women recognize their value—before the world tries to define it for them. This episode will challenge you, convict you, and most importantly… remind you: You don’t wait for someone else to choose you. You choose you first.
