Valley of Trouble
Job 29 is one of the most tender and heartbreaking chapters in all of Scripture. Job looks back on the days when God's presence was a lamp over his head, when his steps were washed in cream, when the young men stepped aside and the elders rose in his honour. He remembers when he was a man of influence, comfort, and blessing — and now, sitting in ashes, all of it feels like a distant dream. It is the cry of a man who once knew closeness with God and now feels only absence. Hosea 2:15 meets that cry with a promise.
Prayer Session Enlighten My Darkness Oh Lord - Psalm 18:28
A reflection on Psalm 18:28 exploring how faith brings light in times of uncertainty, encouraging listeners to seek God’s guidance for clarity, direction, and hope when the path ahead feels unclear. * Trusting God during uncertain times * Seeking wisdom beyond personal insight * Believing that clarity and direction will come, even after periods of confusion
Faithful will stand strong in trials
Luke 22:28 teaches that true faith shows itself in perseverance. The faithful are not defined by perfect understanding or strength, but by remaining loyal during hardship. Standing strong doesn’t mean never struggling—it means not walking away when things get hard.
Counsel of God 3 - Draw, Seek & Wait
Counsel of God 2 (Not in us to Direct ourselves) Jer 10:23
Jeremiah 10:23–24 teaches that: * Humans are not capable of directing their lives perfectly on their own * We must rely on God for wisdom and guidance * When God corrects us, we should desire His loving discipline, not His wrath This same truth is demonstrated in Joshua 9, when: * Joshua and the Israelites were deceived by the Gibeonites * They made a peace treaty without seeking God’s guidance * The result brought long-term consequences they couldn’t undo Joshua and the leaders trusted their eyesight instead of God’s insight. They said “yes” to something God would have warned them about — if they had asked.
