CANDLES, PLAYLISTS, STREAMLINING" feat. Sajae Elder

Socrates - the philosopher, not the rapper Saukrates - once wrote, "our need will be the real creator". When Sajae couldn't just go to the store and sniff out new candles to buy during COVID lockdowns, she decided to make her own line. Inspired by the scents of the Caribbean, Sajae Elder created Ruth & Gem, wellness line that bring back real memories. In this episode we talk to her about streamlining, lessons learned, and of course, what's on this former music writer's playlist. You can find the collection online at instagram.com/ruthandgem Bright is a weekly microcast shining a spotlight on Black Women Entrepreneur.
