Broward Connects
In this episode, host Kimberly Maroe connects you to the Broward County and Florida Panthers Preventive Heart Program. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, often with no warning signs. Broward County is working to change that. Hear from Mayor Mark Bogen, Cleveland Clinic COO and heart attack survivor Dr. Alex Espinosa, and residents whose lives were saved after taking the free CT heart scan. Since its launch, more than 7,000 people have been tested through the $10 million county initiative. Produced by: The Office of Public Communication
