Access and Affordability with Brittani Shaw-Williams

Brittani Williams is a Senior Policy Analyst in higher education affordability with The Education Trust, a national nonprofit that works to close opportunity gaps that disproportionately affect students of color and students from low-income families. Her bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in Higher Education Administration were obtained at the Louisiana State University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership & Policy at Texas Tech University. She has previously worked in various college attainment and student support. Before joining The Education Trust, she worked as a financial aid administrator, college access professional, and CTE education program consultant for the state of Louisiana. Her research interest broadly focuses on postsecondary outcomes for underserved student populations, including low-income students and first-generation college students. Several of her graduate school research projects examine closing access affordability and attainment gaps and the importance of parental involvement of students' post-secondary planning and preparation.
