Senior Day Care - A Respite for Caregivers

In this episode, we are honoured to have Siti Liyana from NTUC Health to discuss the availability of Senior Day Care. Siti is an Assistant Centre Manager at NTUC Health Senior Day Care (Jurong Central) with nine years of experience working closely with seniors and their caregivers. She oversees the centre’s daily operations, including the management of a team of care staff, and the coordination of care services to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all seniors. Siti has witnessed first-hand the challenges caregivers face, such as feelings of guilt, stress and exhaustion, and has been supporting them by providing the right services and resources to help them find balance and maintain their well-being. Her empathetic approach and leadership style have helped her build positive relationships with both caregivers and seniors, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and supported in every step of their caregiving journey. Caregiving can be challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone. The Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) provides a one-stop front for caregivers, connecting you to care services, caregiver training, financial schemes and resources to support your caregiving journey.
