Descripción

in today’s episode, i focus on the topic of chasing people: why we do it and how we can stop. we all deserve people who want to be in our presence and value who we are. we may know this, but still find ourselves running after people who couldn’t care less about us- people who give us minimal attention and fill us up with only bad feelings. it may be that we are attached to certain people because we are truly uncomfortable with the idea of them not liking us: what does that mean for us? once we change our assumptions of what it means for someone to not like us or value us, we can truly let go of people that were not meant for us and be with people that make us feel better.

episode on recognizing others humanness and forgiving artwork

on recognizing others humanness and forgiving

today, i talk about how important it is to recognize our own humanness so that we can accept the humanness in others. sometimes we hurt, and sometimes we get hurt. we should never see life as black and white or “us vrs them.” someone hurting you doesn’t make them bad and it doesn’t even mean they meant to. even if they were aware of the pain they were causing you, they must have felt pain and confusion within themselves. people give what they feel inside. and haven’t you felt those same feelings? so shouldn’t you have sympathy? we are more alike than we would like to believe, and that is beautiful. we can relate to others in extraordinary ways if we allow ourselves to. forgiving doesn’t make their actions right, it just makes them human, like us.
