Pacific Standard Time

River North residents Jonathan Amarilio and Bridget Eastman take Jacqui and Trish to their favorite restaurant, Pacific Standard Time. The California-inspired restaurant has been a Chicago favorite since opening just over a year ago, in April 2018. In that time, PST has made nearly every short list for Chicago foodies, including being the only Chicago restaurant that appeared on 2018’s Eater National Best New Restaurants of 2018 and being named as a 2019 Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. The restaurant’s website can be found here [https://www.pstchicago.com/], and you can check out the pictures of the food we ordered at the Chicago Dish Instagram page here [https://www.instagram.com/chicagodishpod/]. Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co.

Lakeview resident and American Bar Association Division Director Emily Roschek takes Jacqui and Trish to Chicago mainstay, Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co. The Lincoln Park restaurant has been in the same brick building since 1972 where it has gained fame near and far for its pizza pot pies and oven grinders. The historic location famously sits near the site of the St. Valentine’s Day massacre, in one of Chicago’s most popular neighborhoods. Although the menu choices are limited, this restaurant never fails to draw a strong crowd. This standout is led by head chef Danny Grant, who earned Food & Wine’s 2012 Best New Chef award and was the youngest American chef to earn two Michelin stars in both 2011 and 2012.
