Chingon SA
What's up everybody — Luis here with the Chingon SA podcast. Today's episode hits different. This is about resilience. This is about purpose. And this is about what it looks like to take unimaginable loss and turn it into something that saves lives. Today I sit down with Aziza Salama — founder and executive director of the Free Rides Program, impaired driving prevention advocate, and one of the most purposeful people I've ever had in this studio. In 2016, Aziza and her family were hit head-on by a wrong-way drunk driver on Walzem and 35. Her fiancé Johnny — a veteran of two wars — swerved to take the impact and died protecting his family. Two of her daughters were in the car. And instead of letting that moment destroy her, she built something from it. We're talking about the night of the crash, the dark days after, how she found her way back, and how the Free Rides Program is now changing the culture of impaired driving right here in San Antonio. Hope you enjoy! 💬 Have you ever used a free ride service to get home safe?
