Closed for Maintenance
Some episodes are planned. This one wasn't. I sat down to record something else today and something in me wouldn't move toward it. Not because I was tired or distracted. Because it wasn't true. And I've learned that forcing what isn't ready is its own kind of pretending. So I got quiet. And this is what came out of that quiet. In this episode I'm getting honest about where I actually am with this podcast, with creating, with the pressure to keep producing...and why I'm learning that stillness isn't the absence of faith. It might actually be the fullest expression of it. We talk about the temptation to strive, why striving is so attractive (and so costly), and what it means to anchor your confidence not in what you produce but in what you know. Because be still and know aren't just two words, they're two separate invitations. And you can't really do one without the other. If you've been pushing through when something in you keeps saying stop this episode is for you.
