Joe Meagher (pronounced MARR) owns the award winning coffee shop Flat Caps Coffee in Carliol Square, Newcastle. He’s well known in the coffee competitions world and has placed in UK finals on multiple occasions. Today he joins us to discuss some of the mistakes he has made since starting the shop in 2010 in particular how he initially set up for the customers he though he wanted and not the customers he had in his area. A lot of people have been asking why I have set up Coffee Shop Mistakes and what my motivations are. This video should help answer a few of those questions. Coffee shop startups and existing businesses make mistakes all the time. Most of those mistakes are taken to the grave and are hence not available for other people to learn from.
