“So Elijah went and found Elisha son of Shaphat plowing a field. There were twelve teams of oxen in the field, and Elisha was plowing with the twelfth team. Elijah went over to him and threw his cloak across his shoulders and then walked away. Elisha left the oxen standing there, ran after Elijah, and said to him, “First let me go and kiss my father and mother good-bye, and then I will go with you!” Elijah replied, “Go on back, but think about what I have done to you.” So Elisha returned to his oxen and slaughtered them. He used the wood from the plow to build a fire to roast their flesh. He passed around the meat to the townspeople, and they all ate. But Mephibosheth, your master’s grandson, will eat here at my table.” (Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.) Ziba replied, “Yes, my Lord the king; I am your servant, and I will do all that you have commanded.” And from that time on, Mephibosheth ate regularly at David’s table, like one of the king’s own sons. Mephibosheth had a young son named Mica. From then on, all the members of Ziba’s household were Mephibosheth’s servants. He is risen from the dead!” Premise: What looks like the end in your life is often the very place where God is about to reveal resurrection power. “This Ain’t That” Means: is a declaration that what you’re looking at is not what you think it is Truths  1: This Ain’t What It Looks Like 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NLT) “For we live by believing and not by seeing.” 2: This is NOT The End Philippians 1:6 (NLT) “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished…” 3: This is not about Who You Were, but indeed about who you are BECOMING! Romans 6:4 (NLT) “For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead… now we also may live new lives.” Insight  Point 1: What Looked Like Defeat Was Actually The Setup Luke 23:46 (NLT) “Then Jesus shouted, ‘Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!’ And with those words he breathed his last.” Point 2: The Grave Was Not The End… It Was The Transition Matthew 27:60 (NLT) “Then Joseph placed the body in his own new tomb, which had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance and left.” Point 3: Resurrection Is God’s Response To What Tried To Kill You Luke 24:6 (NLT) “He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!”

Genesis 12:1 (NLT) “The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you.’” Genesis 13:14–15 (NLT) “After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, ‘Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.’” Lot: a person,thing,or place. Anything we want to keep and its standing between you and Gods promise. Point 1: Some people are meant for a season, not the promise. Genesis 13:6 (NLT) “But the land could not support both Abram and Lot with all their flocks and herds living so close together.” Point 2: Your Lot can create unnecessary conflict. Genesis 13:7 (NLT) “So disputes broke out between the herdsmen of Abram and Lot. At that time Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land.” Point 3: God speaks clearly after separation. Genesis 13:14 (NLT) “After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram…” Genesis 13:14–15 (NLT) “After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, ‘Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.’” 3 Action Steps (Application) 1. Ask God for discernment. Pray: “Lord, reveal who belongs in this season of my life.” 2. Stop carrying people God never assigned to you. 3. Trust God with the separation.
