Vacation is the best. I get very excited whenever I get to take some time off from work, and just chill with my family on a beach somewhere. When it gets close to vacation time, and as I begin to count down the days, I get more and more excited. Knowing what's in store in the days to come. In today's message Pastor Ben encourages you to get excited knowing what's in store for you as a child of God. Jesus promised to prepare a place for His followers in heaven. When you take a trip to Disneyland you expect to see Mickey and Minnie and the whole gang, right? In fact you'd probably be pretty disappointed if you didn't get to see any of the iconic Disney characters on your visit. It's part of the whole package. In his message today Pastor Ben wants you to know that God the Father and Jesus Christ are inseparable. If you believe in the Father then you must also believe in His Son, and if you believe in Jesus then you also have to believe in the Father. Yeah but Ah, it's so hard to forgive sometimes, isn't it? That accusation that wasn't even true, hurts, and then there's some kind of satisfaction in holding that crushing experience against a friend or relative. But like Pastor Ben instructs today Jesus forgave you, and the very best thing you can do is release that wound, and be freed by forgiving. God will rightly judge the wrong. But your responsibility is to follow Jesus's example. Rather than Harbor bitterness that will poison you from the inside out. Hmm, a convicting word from Pastor Ben today as he talks about Jesus pouring out His love and His life for the very one who would betray Him. Service is one of those things that's underrated, but should be highlighted more than most actions. There's a janitor who works tirelessly during the evenings so that the schools are picked up and clean, but he's mostly invisible. What about the boy who's running slides at your church during service, but nobody sees or knows him as he serves faithfully so you know what words to sing.
