Descripción

If you’ve ever stood along the Chicago River and looked up at the skyline, it’s impossible not to feel a sense of awe. Tower after tower stretching into the sky. But what most people don’t see is what made those buildings possible. Before the skyline could rise, engineers had to dig deep beneath the city until they reached bedrock. Because Chicago soil shifts—clay and sand moving over time—and the only way to build something that lasts is to anchor it into something solid. And in many ways, that’s exactly how life feels right now. So much around us feels unstable—ideas change, voices compete for our attention and many people quietly wonder, What can I actually build my life on? Beneath the noise of modern life is a deeper ache: the longing for something ancient, something trustworthy, something that has stood the test of time. In our new series, Anchored, we’ll explore the Nicene Creed—the historic confession that has grounded followers of Jesus for more than 1,600 years. These ancient words take us back to the bedrock of the Christian faith: the Father who made us, the Son who saved us and the Spirit who gives us life. And when our lives are anchored there, we discover a faith strong enough to stand—and beautiful enough to rise.

House Rules | Numbering our Days Alright | Rev. Charlie Browning | Contemporary

Every relationship runs on rules—spoken or unspoken. The question isn’t whether they exist, but whether they lead to life. In House Rules, we’ll explore God’s design for our closest relationships. When the Gospel shapes our “house rules,” love becomes sacrificial, leadership becomes humble, obedience becomes joyful and everyday interactions become opportunities to reflect Christ. In a culture full of competing voices about family and relationships, this series invites us to rediscover rhythms that cultivate trust and create spaces where grace and truth thrive. These aren’t rules meant to restrict us—they are practices that form us. Whether you’re married or single, parenting or mentoring, leading or learning, House Rules will cast a compelling vision for relationships grounded in the Gospel and shaped by Christlike love.
