Like Nehemiah rebuilding Jerusalem's walls, we must learn to discern between opportunities and our true purpose. Nehemiah faced persistent attempts to distract him from his work, but he stayed focused by knowing his calling and recognizing that not everything good aligns with God's will. When we remain secure in our identity in Christ and resist distractions, we can complete the work God has given us. The key is creating margin to hear God's voice and having the courage to say no to lesser things so we can say yes to God's best.
