Descripción

What is IT or ICT? Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) is a broader term for Information Technology (IT), which refers to all communication technologies, including the internet, wireless networks, cell phones, computers, software, middleware, video-conferencing, social networking, and other media applications and services. The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has been growing rapidly in the last decades. The ICT sector is versatile, and technology is changing fast, meaning that new jobs are created continuously. There are many different career opportunities for you when it comes to employment in the ICT sector. Most ICT workers work for IT companies, which are small private businesses or services subsidiaries of large corporations in many countries (for instance Microsoft in the USA, SAP in Germany or Novell in India). In addition, more and more employees work for local governments (decentralized administrations or ministries of infrastructure) and telecom operators (like BT or Telecom Italia). ICT jobs offer plenty of opportunities. You can become a specialist who develops or maintains software systems or solutions; you can become an engineer who designs hardware products or offers technical support to clients; an analyst who investigates technological trends; a teacher who gives lessons related to technology at high school; or you can simply hold an administrative position where you manage the everyday business operations of an IT department, or even just a small ICT services business. ICT Careers Include: * Computer Programmers * Web Designers * Database Analysts * Project Managers * Social  Media Managers * Social Community Managers * Security/Networking Analysts * Technology Support * Mobile Application Developers * Technical Trainers/Managers * e-Marketing Specialists * Digital Specialists * Public Relations/Content Marketing * Web Development Specialists * Social Media & Marketing Coordinators * Integrated  Marketing Strategists * Corporate Communications Coordinators * Online Engagement Specialists ICT Certifications * Adobe Certifications * Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certifications * Apple Certifications * Cisco Certifications * Citrix Certifications * Check Point Certifications * CompTIA Certifications * Dell EMC Certifications * GIAC Certifications * Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Certifications * HPE Certifications * IBM Certifications * Microsoft Certifications * Micro Focus Certifications * Oracle Certifications * Palo Alto Networks Certifications * Red Hat Certifications * Salesforce Certifications * Scrum Certifications As the world becomes more and more digital, jobs in IT and ICT are going to become increasingly in demand. Where can I showcase my business online?

In order to survive and grow, your business needs customers. In order to get customers, you need to promote your business. In the good old days, this was a matter of deciding between a flyer, a brochure, a postcard, or an ad in the local newspaper. But in today’s digital world, the possibilities are endless (read: overwhelming). So if you are struggling to figure out the best ways to promote your business; or even just what your options are, you are (a) not alone and (b) in the right place. In this podcast, I’m going to cover the most effective ways to promote your business, whether you have no budget, a limited budget, or some wiggle room. We’ll go over how to spread the word with respect to: * Search engines (namely, Google Search and Maps). * Social media channels (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok). * Online directory listings (there’s more to them than you may think!) Promoting your business is a must if you want to stand apart from your competitors and out to your customers, so let’s get started!
