January 31, 2024 Book by Book Jeremiah 25-26 This week, we read the Lord’s warnings for those who are listening to the #FalseProphets. We also read about Jeremiah’s trial. This trial is most likely a response to Jeremiah’s sermon against the nation and leaders in ch. 7. Jeremiah’s case is simply, “The Lord called me and compelled me to speak.” The elders spare his life. But not every prophet is spared as we learn about the fate of Uriah.
