On October 20th, 2023, a young indigenous man would go missing in a heavily wooded area in western Washington. Friends, family and community members would spend the next few weeks organizing searches for him where his cell phone last pinged before going silent. 11. Fanta Xayavong and Manijeh "Mani" Starren

On June 28th, 2023, the remains of a beloved mother, friend and daughter were found locked away in a storage unit in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN. Only days earlier, an eerily similar discovery was made at another storage unit in a separate suburb of St. Paul MN. This is the story of the disappearances and deaths of Fanta Xayavong and Manijeh "Mani" Starren.
