Ever wondered what it would be like to go to the bottom of the ocean? I’m talking the VERY bottom—like 35,000 feet deep into the Mariana Trench! Humans have only gone twice, the first time back in 1960 (before we’d even landed on the moon). The journey took nine hours in a balloon-like submersible called the Bathyscaphe Trieste. We’ll learn more about this unconventional vehicle by talking to none other than Captain Don Walsh, who actually went on the amazing adventure!
