He earned his moniker because many of his crimes took place along the Interstate 5 corridor in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. Woodfield was initially known for his promising career as a football player, having been signed by the Green Bay Packers in 1974, but he was soon cut from the team due to his behavioral issues.Between 1980 and 1981, Woodfield committed a series of brutal crimes, including sexual assaults, robberies, and murders.
