How am I Supposed to Pay for College?

As if searching for and applying to college wasn't complicated enough, now more than ever the cost and affordability of attending an institution can be difficult to understand, at first glance. That's why Regis College's Director of Financial Aid, Tanya Jean-Francois, sat down with Alex this week to discuss the ins and outs of applying for financial aid, completing the FAFSA, important timelines, and what an applicant can do to best prepare themselves for the financial implications of attending college. While students may be familiar with the first step, completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) they may not realize the other options available. Am I On The Right Path To College?

There is no right path in getting to college. Everyone's journey will be different and it is the college's job to meet the students where they are and help them to be successful, once enrolled. During this episode, host and Director of Admission at Regis College Dr. Alex Patturelli and Director of The Center for Veterans and Military Family Services, Nick Lanier, discuss their unique vocational journeys. Nick also discusses what he does at Regis to support students, the paths his children have taken to college and the interplay he has observed between "traditional" college aged students and students who's path may have taken them a bit longer to arrive on campus.

During this episode of Decision Letter Debrief Alex sits down with Dan Leahy and Mary Lou Bozza, director and assistant director of Regis College's Center for Ministry and Service (CMS) respectively. During this episode Dan, Mary Lou, and Alex provide their unique perspectives as parents and members of the Regis College community on how they have assisted their own students (or plan to in the distant future) and how they support Regis students every day as they succeed or struggle and then succeed to find their fit on campus. Dan and Mary Lou also explain Regis College's long history of service and their office's role in helping students navigate their own personal vocational journey.
