Letting Go

Why God?

We are taking a look at why to follow God and why He came to earth to die. We look at Matthew 16.21, we also ask you consider the following questions as you process the video: 1. As you look at your life right now, what 'heavy gear' (an old habit, a defensive attitude, or specific worldly security) are you still clutching onto because you are afraid you won't survive without it? 2. In Matthew 16, we are told that from that time on (a turn in Jesus' interaction with His disciples and in His earthly ministry), Jesus began to explain to His disciples why he MUST go to Jerusalem (meaning He didn't need to ask why for Himself). Is there a specific 'inward turn' or command from King Jesus that you have understood, but you are currently holding in 'pending' status because you're still waiting for Him to explain the 'Why' to you?

Letting Go

This week we are still in Matthew, looking at chapter 12.38.42. We are looking at the need for signs and not receiving them and letting go of sinful ways.

We take a look at Matthew 17.24-27 and the temple tax and not offending others in the name of God.
