The report identified key barriers faced by African universities, proposes actionable recommendations to enable HEIs to contribute meaningfully to Africa's economic and social development and suggests how industry-academia collaboration plays a crucial role in connecting academic innovators with the resources they need to create impactful solutions can be applied across the different stakeholders within African HEIs.

As countries across the continent work to strengthen electoral processes and democratic institutions, technology brings both opportunities and challenges. At the intersection of democracy and technology are human rights issues and concerns that have the potential of undermining democratic principles and reducing citizens' trust in the use of digital technologies in elections.
