Episode Eleven: Rumours About Teacher & Student Relationships

This week we talk about the Next Generation episode Rumours and Reputations, where rumour has it Liberty might be having a relationship with a teacher, as well as the Junior High episode Rumor Has It, where a Kathleen is trying to convince all her friends that Miss Avery is a lesbian and maybe Caitlin and her are gay together. There's a lot to unpack here, as we talk about crazy rumours from our schools, prank calls, and how much we love Melanie from Junior High!

Episode Ten: The Latchkey Kids of Degrassi Street

This week we talk about the Next Generation episode Coming of Age, and the Junior High episode What a Night. Jimmy and Lucy are both kids whose parents are never around. For Jimmy that means spending too much time with Ashley and her family, and for Lucy that means stealing things for attention. We also get to see Emma getting her first period, and Stephanie going on a date with a much older man. There's a lot to unpack with this episode, and we both share embarassing stories from our pasts.

Episode Nine: Family Comes Out

This week we talk about the Next Generation episode Secrets & Lies, where Ashley's dad tells her that he is gay, as well as the Junior High episode He Ain't Heavy, where Snake's brother comes out to him. We talk about lockets, how spoiled Ashley is, and how over the top the actors go in both episodes when pretending to be gay. We also have our first guest, Alex's wife Sam, join us in this episode to talk about the behind the scenes of a radio station!

Episode Eight: Will They Go All The Way?

This week we're talking about two episodes where some of the students are tempted to give in to peer pressure and have sex. The Next Generation episode is The Mating Game, and the Junior High episode is Best Laid Plans. We talk about sex education in our own schools, watching adult films, ordering stuff on the internet, and really ask ourselves what are Swamp Sex Robots? *This episode is being marked explicit because our talks get rather raunchy!*

Episode Seven: Day and Night of the Parents

This week, we talk about the Parents' Day episode of The Next Generation, as well as the Parents' Night episode of Junior High. We dish about how our own teachers felt about us, how great a mom Spike is, and how much of a creep Wheels' dad is!
