Fr. Scott Garno, was born and raised (with a 10-year hiatus in N.C.) in the small Upstate NY city of Ogdensburg. He was baptized, confirmed, and raised up for ordination from St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ogdensburg. Fr. Garno graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and went on to complete a B. A. at SUNY Potsdam. Following graduation from Potsdam (and a year working in the Capital District), Fr. Garno attended and graduated with an M.Div. from Trinity School for Ministry, in Ambridge, PA.Fr. Garno came to St. Stephen’s in May 2017 after 11 fruitful years of ministry at St. Matthew’s, Unadilla, and St. Paul’s, Franklin. During those years he helped lead St. Matthew’s through two devastating floods, revitalized old ministries and started new ones, and worked for 3 years as the Spiritual Care Coordinator for Hospice and Palliative Care of Chenango County.Fr. Scott has a passion for Jesus and for preaching and teaching the Word of God. He is a long-time advocate of healing ministry and has been involved in Diocesan Youth Ministry since before he was even ordained. Fr. Scott has been married to his beautiful wife Sarah for almost 14 years and they are the parents of 4 children: Josiah (with the Lord), Sam, Maria, and Toby.

Deacon Helene Patterson, of Schuylerville, was ordained a deacon on January 24, 2021 at the Cathedral of All Saints. She is currently is finishing up her Deacon formation and completing an internship at Grace Church in Waterford. She has been assigned to serve at St Stephen’s in Schuylerville when she completes her formation.

The Rev. William "Chip" Strickland is the Chancellor of the Albany Episcopal Diocese.

Fr. Tom Papazoglakis serves as Rector of St. George’s Church along with his wife, Mtr. Elizabeth Papazoglakis who is the Associate Rector. Fr. Tom graduated from Louisiana State University with Bachelor of Architecture in 1978, receiving his architectural license and NCARB certification in 1981. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Tulane University. Fr. Tom left his career in the design and construction industry to attend seminary at Nashotah House Seminary in Nashotah, WI. He received a Master of Divinity in 2002 and was ordained to the diaconate in 2001. He was ordained priest in 2002. He served as Associate Priest at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Pewaukee, WI, before being called as Priest-in-Charge in 2003. He left this position in 2012, spending two months in Cairo, Egypt while on sabbatical and as a guest of the Episcopal Diocese of Egypt. Fr. Tom was called as Rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in 2013 where he served until being called with Mtr. Elizabeth as Priests-in-Charge of St. George’s in November 2015. Fr. Tom was called as Rector of St. George's in March 2017. Fr. Tom is a Doctor of Ministry student at Nashotah House Seminary and anticipates graduation in 2021. Fr. Tom and Mtr. Elizabeth have been married 40+ years and have three grown daughters, Erika, Niki (Joe), and Sarah (Boris). They have three grandchildren, Ainslie, Aidan, and Ashton.
