Feast Days
Thanks for reading The Table Project! This post is public so feel free to share it. In this episode, Mark Grapengater and Andy Cornett discuss the themes of hospitality and church planting, focusing on the journey of establishing Trinity Forest Church in Concord, North Carolina. They explore the importance of building community, engaging with the local population, and the role of hospitality in creating a welcoming environment for newcomers. Andy shares his experiences in navigating the challenges of church planting, the significance of relationships, and the journey from being strangers to becoming family within the church community. The discussion emphasizes the balance between being a host and a guest, the values that guide their mission, and the importance of intentionality in fostering connections. Andy Cornett has been pastoring in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church for 16 years and holds a DMin from Fuller Seminary in discipleship for cultural renewal. Andy is planting Trinity Forest Church in Concord, NC, a part of the Lake Forest Church family. Trinity Forest began public worship in September 2025. Married to the amazing Robin (their 3 kids are in their 20s). Andy’s other main jam is cooking, reading, running — not necessarily in that order, and often thinking about all three.
