In this video, I'll explain how to use moving averages to make regular gains. A moving average, by definition, is a technical indicator that determines an asset's average close price over a given period of time. A 10-period moving average will display the average close price of the previous 10 candles. Various moving averages can be used to detect various trends. A 200 period moving average, for example, can be used to determine the market's long-term trend. Similarly, a 50-period moving average may be used to determine the asset's medium-term trend. Finally, a 20-period moving average is employed to determine the short-term trend. Similarly, a 50-period moving average may be used to determine the asset's medium-term trend. Finally, a 20-period moving average is employed to determine the market's short-term trend. For the purposes of this video, the 50 period moving average will be used. However, you may use any moving average and backtest it to see how it performs.
