029: Defined & Undefined Identity Center

In this episode, we continue our Human Design centers series with one of the most personal and emotionally layered centers in the chart: the Identity Center, also known as the G Center. This center is deeply connected to your sense of self, direction, identity, love, and the feeling of being aligned with who you truly are. And for many people, this conversation hits hard in the best possible way. We explore the experience of having a defined identity center, where there tends to be a more stable and consistent sense of self. You may naturally know when something feels right for you and when it doesn’t. Even during big life changes, there is often an underlying steadiness that helps guide your decisions and keeps you connected to who you are. But we also unpack the challenges that can come with that certainty, especially when others around you seem unsure, inconsistent, or constantly changing. It can be difficult to understand why other people cannot “just know” themselves the way you do. 028: Defined vs Open Throat - Understanding Your Expression

In today’s episode, we continue with our Human Design centers series with a deep dive into the Throat Center, the hub of communication, expression, and being heard. This is where your inner world meets the outer world. It is how your thoughts, feelings, and ideas are brought to life through your voice. And for something that seems so natural, this is also one of the most conditioned and emotionally charged centers we have. We explore what it means to have a defined throat, where expression tends to feel more consistent and accessible. You may be someone who naturally speaks up, puts words to what others are feeling, or communicates in a way that lands and creates impact. But the challenge here is subtle. It can show up as talking too quickly, filling space without realizing it, or assuming that everyone else should be able to express themselves the same way. We also unpack the experience of an undefined throat, where expression is less predictable and often influenced by the people and environments around you. You might feel pressure to speak just to be seen or heard, only to walk away wondering why you said what you did or why you couldn’t say what you actually meant. At times, you may feel quiet and reserved, and at other times, unexpectedly expressive. What this episode makes clear is that neither way is better. They are simply different ways your voice moves through the world. We also touch on how deeply this center is shaped by conditioning. 027: Defined vs Open Mind (Ajna) Centers

In today’s episode, we continue with Human Design centers by diving into the Mind Center, also known as the Ajna. This is where your thoughts take shape, where beliefs are formed, and where your brain works overtime trying to make sense of everything coming in from the world around you. And here’s the twist that most people don’t expect. Your mind is not here to make your decisions. We break down how this center works in real life, and why so many of us have been conditioned to rely on the very thing that keeps us stuck in loops, overthinking, and second guessing. If you have a defined mind, your way of thinking is consistent and reliable. You likely form opinions quickly, see things clearly, and feel confident in your perspective. You might be the one people turn to for clarity or direction. But the shadow side shows up as rigidity, needing to be right, or mentally spinning through decisions trying to logic your way to certainty. The mind keeps going, circling, analyzing, and convincing you it has the answer. If you have an undefined mind, your experience is much more fluid. You can see multiple perspectives, adapt your thinking easily, and stay open to different ideas. But this can also feel confusing when you start questioning yourself. You might feel pressure to sound certain, take on other people’s opinions, or struggle to land on what is actually true for you. What looks like inconsistency is often just openness and depth.
