You are never too young to make a difference for the Kingdom of God. This graduation Sunday, we explored the feeding of the 5,000 in Luke 9:12-17, where Jesus didn't just feed the crowd—He empowered His disciples to distribute the blessing. The miracle wasn't just about multiplication; it was about maturity. Jesus gave the disciples 12 baskets of leftovers—not for themselves, but to give away.

Put Back Together

When life feels like it's falling apart, where do you turn? This Mother's Day message reminds us that Jesus came not with a sword, but with the hands of a healer. In Luke 8, we see two powerful stories intertwined: a woman who suffered for 12 years and a 12-year-old girl who had died. Both needed restoration beyond human ability. Jesus didn't just heal their bodies—He was reconstituting all of Israel, making whole what had been broken. Twelve tribes. Twelve years. Twelve apostles. Twelve baskets of leftovers. God's vision is never constricted by our circumstances.

Sent Out

The message explored what it means not just to hear God's call, but to make ourselves truly available to answer it. Drawing from Luke 9:1-6 and 10-11, we examined how Jesus equipped and sent out the twelve disciples with both power and authority to heal the sick, cast out demons, and proclaim the kingdom of God. The message challenged us to overcome the intimidation and "orphan spirit" that makes us feel unqualified for God's mission, reminding us that Christ has already accomplished the work of reconciliation—breaking down every dividing wall between peoples. We are called to go forth as ambassadors of this reconciliation, confident that what we have in common in Christ is greater than all the differences the world would put upon us.

Starting Where You Stand

Where is your Jerusalem? It's not some distant place—it's right where you're standing. Your neighborhood. Your office. Your favorite coffee shop. The people you see every day. Jesus told His disciples they would be witnesses "in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). Notice He didn't say "or"—He said "and." You can't skip Jerusalem and jump to the ends of the earth. Mission starts where your feet are planted.
