Descripción

A podcast to invest in all those readers of Scripture—especially those proclaiming the Gospel in their faith communities. Each week we’ll read the Gospel text as set out by the Revised Common Lectionary and then offer what may be beneficial and formational for the reader. Commenting with 1) aid in pronunciation if needed; 2) an exploration of context and curiosities connected with the reading; 3) offering one of many possible views of what may be essential in the text; 4) consideration of the passage’s emotional tone and how this specific text may be read well and thus heard in a life-giving way; and  finally, 5) closing with a prayer, poem, or some other piece that emerges in connection with our Gospel reading. All this to offer greater familiarity and a deeper, inner connection with the Scripture—which is transforming us into a more fertile ground for the Spirit to be transforming us and our community further into Christlikeness. May we have the mind of Christ. Get full access to For the Readers at forthereaders.substack.com/subscribe [https://forthereaders.substack.com/subscribe?utm_medium=podcast&utm_campaign=CTA_4]
